Consider the crucial currents shaping our environment through a stimulating roundtable discussion with Kate D. Levin, commissioner of New York City’s Department of Cultural Affairs; composer Daniel Bernard Roumain; Newsday classical music and architecture critic Justin Davidson; and former Disney creative executive Barry Braverman; moderated by Russell Willis Taylor, president and CEO of National Arts Strategies.

In conversation with Justin Davidson, Esa-Pekka Salonen, music director of the Los Angeles Philharmonic, discusses his vision for the Los Angeles Philharmonic, and how it embodies the Conference theme.

Keynote Address
Iconoclastic opera and theater director Peter Sellars will challenge orchestras to reconsider their role in today’s world.
